Emmanuel

To Emmanuel Marfo, being Flier means embracing your uniqueness, with no mind to standing out, and doing away with limiting societal standards. Emmanuel, a Prince George County, Maryland native, is a 19-year-old sophomore Financing major at North Carolina A&T. Emmanuel is driven by his passion for economic wealth and is on a journey of securing the bag.

“I am elevating my life by living in the present and taking advantage of opportunities presented to me”, said Emmanuel, the Chief of Staff of the NC A&T’s Financial Management Association.

Emmanuel has helped to organize this school year’s first “Meet the Banks” event in which 11 different financial institutions came to recruit student prospects for scholarships, internships, and full-time positions. He is currently focused on securing a summer internship and networking geared toward financial literacy.

While Emmanuel is big on finance, he is also passionate about treating others with humility and respect. He enjoys dressing up professionally, as well as putting on the Flyest attire, no pun intended.

When asked what advice would he give to someone who wants to be Flier he said this:

“Just be yourself and embrace who God called you to be and not change for anyone else.”

Emmanuel is a young black man not afraid to chase his goals, be in uncomfortable spaces, and help others. Emmanuel is FLIER.
